"I just found out about the attacks on 3 1-21 troopers. I want to say God be with you and hope you all make it through. Israel is a good friend of mine and I still can't believe it. He was my first friend when me and my best friend Nate, who also is a 1-21 FIST, got to 25th ID in 2002. My prayers go to him and his family. I am part of 2-27 FIST and will be deploying to OEF, but if there was one thing I could change it would be to go with my brothers of 1-21 FIST. Israel is 24 years of age he is from Alabama and a very good friend of mine. I remember the last time we were together the Saturday before he left.
